Overview
A half-day course for staff who may need to respond to asthma or anaphylaxis. You learn to recognise the signs of an asthma flare-up and a severe allergic reaction, follow an action plan, use a reliever inhaler and spacer, and administer an adrenaline auto-injector such as an EpiPen. Widely used in schools, childcare, hospitality and community settings.

Who this course is for
Teachers, childcare educators, hospitality staff, support workers and anyone responsible for people at risk of asthma or anaphylaxis.

None.
Assessment
Practical demonstration of inhaler, spacer and auto-injector use, plus scenario-based assessment.
Certificate issued
Certificate of completion issued on the day. Nationally recognised units are available on request for groups.
